Mandya: JD (S) Youth Wing President Nikhil Kumaraswamy has expressed his displeasure over the delay in meeting the family of rape and murder victim in Malavalli of the District by MP Sumalatha.
Speaking to mediapersons he said, that the MP from the constituency should have met the victim’s family on the day of the incident and consoled them. But she met them four days later, as she went to some other event. However JD (S) MLA Annadani and I visited the victim’s house and consoled the family much before she did. Nikhil said MLA Annadani had also worked hard to provide compensation to the girl’s family.
“I have requested the JD (S) to give 30% tickets to youth in the next assembly elections. Similarly, the youth should come into politics in a big way. Young people should work effectively. Young leaders who are eligible to win should ask for tickets. We are also conducting a survey in this regard. We will give tickets to young leaders who have the potential to win,” he said.
