Mandya: The KRS Police managed to arrest the accused who killed five including 4 children in KRS on Monday February 7. It is said that Lakshmi (30), and her children Raj (12) Komal (7) Kunal (5) and Lakshmi’s cousin Govind (12) were brutally murdered on the night of Saturday February 5.
Lakshmi’s husband Gangaram and his brother Ganesh are street vendors of plastic items and were visiting home once in 15 – 20 days. The police on getting a clue from CC cameras arrested Lakshmi (32), relative of Gangaram. Accused Lakshmi staying in Mysuru allegedly has illicit relationship with Gangaram before his marriage. Even after Lakshmi’s marriage with another man she used to call him and force him to have relationship to which Gangaram reportedly refused.
On Saturday Lakshmi came on a scooter to Gangaram’s house, had dinner and slept. At midnight she hacked Lakshmi (30) to death and killed children by using hammer. She confesed that she thought that if she killed children and wife Gangaram would marry her.
The angry villagers have staged protest in front of KRS Police Station and urged to hand them the accused as they feel the court would not punish her.
