Mandya: Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai appointed Revenue Minister R Ashoka as the Minister In-Charge of the District on Tuesday January 24.
The Vokkaliga-dominated Mandya district is a major constituent of the Old Mysuru region, and Ashoka hails from the District.
Ashoka will replace Excise Minister K. Gopalaiah, who was In-Charge of the district along with Hassan.
An official statement stated that Minister R. Ashoka has been appointed to replace him, with immediate effect, and that he was appointed as the district in-charge Minister for Mandya on January 24, 2022.
According to sources, the notification has been issued based on the direction of Bommai.
