Mandya: A rowdy sheeter of Doddarasinakere Village of Maddur Taluk was hacked to death on the night of Monday November 21.
The deceased has been identified as Arun alias Kappe, a native of Doddarasinakere Village. It is said that Arun and rowdy sheeters Dodaiah and Devaraju of the same village had a verbal altercation over financial issues on the evening of Monday. It is said that Arun alias Kappe was beaten up by Devaraju and Dodaiah. Arun sustained serious injuries on his head in the attack. Arun was bleeding profusely from the nose and while he was being taken to the hospital for treatment, it was learned that Dodaiah and his accomplices, who were following him, attacked Arun again with a bullock cart wooden cane.
He was given first aid at G. Madegowda Hospital, Doddi and admitted to Apollo Hospital, Mysore for further treatment. He succumbed to injuries. The autopsy was conducted in the hospital and handed over to the family. A case of murder has been registered in KM Doddi Police Station against 5 people including rowdies Dodaiah and Devaraju and their accomplices.
