Mandya: A porcupine with a leopard has once again been spotted at the world famous KRS Dam and Brindavan Park, causing panic among the officials and staff.
A leopard and a porcupine were spotted fighting at the park near the North Gate of the dam on the night of Friday November 18. The duo was seen fighting with each other, and the same has been captured on CCTV cameras.
It can be recalled here that the leopard was first spotted on October 22. Srirangapattana and Pandavapura Forest Department Officials had placed nine cages to capture the leopard.
Of these, 1 cage, which was kept near the park at North Gate of the dam, was shifted by Pandavapura Forest Department officials on the morning of Friday despite opposition from corporation officials.
Now coincidentally, the presence of a leopard and porcupine at the same spot on the same day of the evacuation has triggered outrage among the corporation officials and the public.
