Mandya: Following instructions from the State government on Sunday, the authorities of the Krishnarajasagar (KRS) dam in Srirangapatna taluk of Mandya district stopped release of water into the canals.
The reason behind the stoppage is due to shortage of water in the dam. On Sunday, the water level in the dam dipped to 76.03 feet while the inflow and outflow were 1,451 cusecs and 205 cusecs respectively.
Meanwhile, 155 cusecs and 50 cusecs water is flowing towards the river and canals, respectively.
