suma mainMandya: The speculations that MP Sumalatha Ambareesh will be extensively campaigning for the BJP in the by-polls has now turned out to be false.

The rumours had been making rounds right from the time of announcement of the by-polls, but neither the BJP for Sumalatha had made an official statement in this regard.

However, on Sunday Sumalatha said that she is not going to side with any party.

“I was backed by the Congress and the BJP supported me. I had got the encouragement from all the parties and hence now I will not side with any one single party. The people of Mandya are very intelligent. They will decide who should represent them, ” she said putting to rest all the speculations.
