Mysuru: Disheartened by Modi government’s demonetisation move, a stock broker committed suicide here on Thursday at Ramakrishnagar.
Vinayak B K (34), a MBA graduate hailing from Davangere is the deceased.
Vinayak was settled in Mysuru since 10 years and lived at Ramakrishnagar along with his wife and 6-year-old son. He was involved in share trade business in a private firm and later started on his own. He had invested in more than Rs 10 Lakh worth of shares and promised his friends about profit too.
On November 8, his wife had gone to Davangere. On the same night Prime Minister Modi announced a ban on Rs 500 and Rs 1000 which led to a fall in the share market. Shocked over the sudden change in the share market, Vinayak hanged self on Thursday.
Kuvempunagar police are investigating the case.
