Mysuru: 211 distinct projects will soon begin at cost of Rs 210 Cr

Mysuru: MLA H. P. Manjunath said that 211 works at a cost of Rs. 210 Crore will be launched from November 14 in the third phase of Jal Jeevan Mission to supply clean drinking water to all Villages in Hunasur Taluk.

Speaking after inaugurating the AEE Office of Zilla Panchayat’s drinking water project near Maruti Petrol Bunk in the Town, he said that the aim of the project is to provide clean drinking water to the people in rural areas from locally available water sources by the end of December 2023. The project was supposed to be launched earlier but was later delayed due to Covid – 19 and other issues and from November 14, we along with MP Pratap Simha and local representatives will launch it, he said.

“At present, the tender process for 45 works has been completed and all the works will be completed by the end of December 2023 in a phased manner. In the 4th phase, the project will be taken up in 60 habitations at a cost of around Rs. 26 Crore. By the time the work is completed as per schedule, clean water will be supplied to all the 271 Villages in the Taluk, he said.
