Mysuru: JD (S) State President C. M. Ibrahim said that the British have praised Tipu Sultan. The royal family spoke about his martyrdom and it is recorded so in history, then why MP Pratap Simha is speaking about Tipu. “He has been lying about Tipu without knowing anything about him,” he alleged.
Speaking to mediapersons, he said Tipu Sultan was a great leader who fought against the British. The British have claimed the revolutionary schemes, development and struggles that took place during their time. Similarly, the kings have praised him, he noted.
“After worshipping the diamonds and weapons given by Tipu Sultan at Nanjanagudu and Sringeri, further work is taken up. It should be understood that even today, devotees are worshipping the diamond given by Tipu at Nanjanagudu and Srirangapattana Temples.
Speaking about Tippu Nija Kanasugalu, Ibrahim said, “It is the BJP’s job to hide history. People will teach such people a lesson,” he said.
