Mysuru: CCB Police arrests 4, recovers gold worth Rs 20L

Mysuru: The City Crime Branch (CCB) Police has arrested four accused in connection with the case of burglary and recovered 312 grams of gold jewellery, 868 grams of silver jewellery, 3 watches and a camera.

The police solved 2 cases of burglary in Vidyaranyapuram Police Station, one case each in Kuvempu Nagara, Udayagiri Police Stations, one case each in Saraswathipuram, Nazarabad, Alanahalli, Venur Police Station in Dakshina Kannada District, one house burglary case in Nazarabad Police Station, one case in Vijayanagara Police Station. Here one common case of theft was found.

When the special police team arrested another accused and interrogated him, he provided the clue which led to the recovery of Rs. 1.50 lakh in connection with the theft case under Mandi Police Station limits. 30 grams of valuable gold jewellery has been seized. Another accused confessed to theft under the jurisdiction of Jayalakshmipuram Police Station and the case of theft under the jurisdiction of Hassan Town Police Station of Rs. 2.4 lakhs. Gold jewellery worth 38 grams and a car have been seized.

A total of Rs 20.4 lakh was recovered from the arrested.
