Mysuru: Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai, who has been camping in Mysuru in connection with the Dasara celebrations, performed pooja for the goddess Chamundeshwari on the Vijayadashami day on Wednesday October 5.

He extended his greetings to everyone on Dasara and expressed his happiness that this year’s celebrations were held in a grand manner. He praised the Mysuru District Administration, the ministers in charge, and the local MLAs for their special efforts to organise the Dasara celebrations. “Governor Thaawarchand Gehlot will not the grand Jumbo procession due to the Covid,” he said.

The Chief Minister along with his family visited the Suttur Matha where he received blessings from Sri Shivaratri Deshikendra Swamiji.

He later inaugurated the auditorium of Mysuru Diganta evening daily.
