Mysuru: As part of the Mysuru Dasara celebrations, the Kannada Book Authority (KBA) will organise the ‘Mysuru Dasara Kannada Books Discount Sale Fair – 2026’ from October 11 to 20 at the Bharat Scouts and Guides Grounds in Mysuru city.
The fair will provide an opportunity for readers to purchase Kannada books at discounted prices and for authors and publishers to showcase their works.
Opportunity for new book launches
The KBA has also made arrangements for the launch of new books published in 2026 during the fair.
According to the KBA, books will be launched through renowned literary figures as part of the event. Authors and publishers interested in releasing their books during the fair have been invited to submit applications.
The initiative is aimed at providing greater visibility to newly published Kannada books and encouraging reading and literary activities during the Dasara celebrations.
Applications invited from authors and publishers
Interested writers and publishers can download the application form from the official KBA website.
Applicants are required to submit the completed application along with three copies of their books. The deadline for submitting applications is October 5.
The KBA has urged interested authors and publishers to submit their applications before the deadline to participate in the book launch programme.
