Mysuru: The grand finale of the Mysuru Dasara festivities will begin on the night of Wednesday October 5. The procession, which is anticipated to begin at 5.00 pm, is likely to draw at least five lakh people.
The procession will include about 47 tableaus from various Karnataka and other states. In addition to hundreds of cultural troupes, there will be elephants and horses in the procession. The Jamboo Savari was restricted inside the palace grounds due to Covid – 19.
The 10-day festivities’ official finale will be marked by a grand procession from Mysuru’s Amba Vilas Palace to Bannimantap ground, a distance of 5 km.
Along with other jumbos, the 57-year-old Abhimanyu will be accompanied by Lakshmi and Chaitra (kumki elephants) and will be carrying a 750 kg golden howdah on its back.
