Mysuru: Sahitya Akademi Chairperson Chandrashekara Kambar, a renowned writer of Kannada has written to Mysuru police seeking action against Rangayana Mysore authorities for distorting his play Sambashiva Prahasana and staging his play without his consent.
It all began on December 31 in Rangayana when the artistes of this play criticised the various Bhagya schemes introduced by Siddaramaiah while he was the Chief Minister. Immediately a few in the audience objected and stopped the play. Later, the issue was resolved with concerned apologising.
However, now Kambar, the playwright approached the Mysuru police seeking action against those who are responsible for distorting his play on the stage. He termed the incident filthy and sought action according to the law.
He also alleged that the play was performed without his consent.
