Mysuru: Eight arrested in gambling case

Mysuru: In a separate case, the CCB Police, who conducted a raid at a gambling den, has arrested eight persons involved in gambling and seized Rs. 12,50,660 in cash, six mobile phones, a counting machine and cards.

Acting on a tip-off, the CCB Police raided City Clubs 23/D in Hinkal, Hunsur Main Road and arrested three persons who were engaged in andar-bahar gambling with money at stake and seized Rs. 12,50,660 in cash, six mobile phones, counting machines, cards and token coins.

Vijayanagar Police has registered a case in this regard.

In another case, the CCB Police arrested five persons for indulging in a lucky gamble called Andar-Bahar by betting coins equivalent to money. Rs. 7.60 Lakh, coins of different colours of face value and Rs. 4,105 in cash were recovered from them.
