Mysuru: In a tragic incident, a leaf garden and a banana crop were gutted in a fire at Hedatale Village in Nanjanagudu Taluk.

Mahadevanayaka, a farmer from Hedatale Village, had cultivated banana, betel leaves and mango crops on his one-acre land and his crops were destroyed in the fire. In the afternoon, some miscreants set fire to the side of the road. The wind has spread up to our fields and the crops have caught fire and are completely burnt to ashes.

Mahadevanayaka, a farmer, demanded that we are making a living by relying on this crop for thousands of rupees. He said that the Government should immediately compensate for the loss.
