Mysuru: Tahasildar Kunhi Ahamed said that the authorities should ensure that there are no complaints during the purchase of ragi from farmers under the support price scheme.
He was speaking after holding a meeting of the office-bearers of pro-farmer organisations, buyers and farmers at the Ragi Procurement Centre opened at Bettadapura APMC premises in Periyapattana Taluk of the District.
The Government has started procurement of ragi under the support price scheme for the development of farmers and this should benefit the farmers and not create any problem. There have been many complaints against the officials and staff of the procurement centre. Farmers coming to the Centre should be provided with proper infrastructure so that they do not face any problem, he said.
