Mysuru: Lokayukta traps PDO of Hallare

Mysuru: Lokayukta Police has arrested Varadaraju, the Panchayat Development Officer (PDO) of Hallare Gram Panchayat in Nanjanagudu Taluk, while accepting a bribe.

He had demanded a bribe from Atiq-ur-Rehman of Hallare Village in connection with the e-property of the vacant plot. Rahman had refused to pay the bribe and lodged a complaint with the Lokayukta.

Accordingly, Rs. 30,000 was deposited at DMJ Complex in Nanjanagudu. A team led by Lokayukta Deputy Superintendent of Police Krishnaiah arrested Varadaraju while accepting the bribe.

Lokayukta Police Inspectors Ravikumar, Lokesh, Umesh, CHCs Ramesh and Jagadish, CPCs Prakash, Kantharaju, staff Pushpalatha, Triveni, Lokesh and Mohan participated in the operation.
