Mysuru: “BJP leaders have been harassing people from all communities on the issue of increasing reservation. This time for 100 per cent Congress Party will come to power and then reservation will be implemented scientifically for all communities on the basis of population, said Former Chief Minister Siddaramaiah.
Participating in a sit-in organised by the Congress Party at the Town Hall premises under the title ‘Constitution Bachao Desh Bachao’, he said, “BJP leaders are creating confusion on the issue of reservation. Work is being done to pit one community over another. Our Government will come to power and we will amend the Constitution and give a fair share of reservation,” he said.
“BJP leaders are spreading hatred against the Muslim community. The 28-year-old reservation for the Muslim community has been removed and given to the Vokkaliga and Lingayat communities. Why did the BJP leaders add reservation to Muslims on the basis of religion in the EWS if it was unconstitutional? There is a contradiction in their actions. They have taken away reservation from Muslims to do politics of hate,” he said.
