Mysuru: ‘Tourists visiting Zoo has increased’

Mysuru: “Zoos under the jurisdiction of The State Zoo Authority have collected a revenue of Rs. 75.72 Crore in nine months, said Karnataka Zoo Authority Chairman M. Shivakumar.

Speaking at a press conference here on Sunday January 15 he said that “The number of tourists visiting zoos has increased post-Covid. Between April 1 and December 31, 2022, 52,77,013 people visited zoos in the State. As many as 5.24 lakh people visited the Mysuru Zoo in December,” he added.

The increase in numbers is really motivating, he noted.
