Mysuru: Mysuru – Kodagu MP Prathap Simha said that Former Chief Minister Siddaramaiah was sent home in 2018 election by voters in Chamundeshwari Constituency for his lies.
Reacting to the claim of Siddaramaiah that the Bengaluru – Mysuru Expressway was the project approved by erstwhile State Congress Government he said Former PWD Minister H. C. Mahadevappa and even Siddaramaiah do not know the procedures with regard to approving of an expressway by NHAI. He said that the people are well aware that who is the reason for expressway and hence the Congress leaders should not try to fool people with lies. He further said that on Sunday March 12, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the Bengaluru – Mysuru Expressway. He said if SPG gives permission, we will do a roadshow on expressway. We intend to do a total roadshow of 2 kms. After the roadshow, a public meeting will be held at Gejjelagere near Maddur in Mandya, he informed.
Responding to the issue of toll collection, he said a court case is pending regarding the land for completion of the service road. Once it is decided, the service road will be started soon. We have postponed the toll collection of a part of the Highway till Tuesday March 14, he said.
Responding to Congress allegation that even without service road the Government planned to collect toll he said that there is no service road in the Mysuru-Ooty Highway constructed under the Congress Government. Now they are all talking about Bengaluru – Mysuru Highway Service Road. We are making the service road systematic, he remarked. Pratap Singh retorted, “ask Congress’s leader H. C. Mahadevappa how he started toll collection without making a service road.”
