This incident comes just three years after a similar assault at the foothills of Chamundi Hills, raising alarms about the safety of women in the city. Activists, including E Rathi Rao, Sabiha Bhoomigowda, and others, expressed deep concern over the growing exploitation of women and the lack of gender sensitivity among young men.
