Mysuru: Yaduveer Krishnadatta Chamaraja Wadiyar, a scion of the Mysore royal family, has refused the UAE Kannada Ratna Award.
He further added, “It has come to our notice that news is circulating in print and social media that I have been conferred with the International Kannada Ratna Award. But I will not accept this award.
By conveying gratitude he said, “I would like to thank the organisers for considering me for the award. But I don’t think it would be appropriate to accept this award. I have always worked hard for the welfare of our State and our Kannada community. I will be the chief guest at the Rajyotsava programme. I am looking forward to meeting our Kannada community in UAE,” he said.
