Bribe case in Mysuru: Joint Director, DD caught red-handed

Mysuru: The ACB officials on Tuesday February 1 caught Commerce and Industries Department Joint Director and Deputy Director while accepting bribe of Rs. 1.25 Lakh from an enterprenuer.

It is said that a small scale industrialist availed a loan of Rs. 2 Crore from KSFC. The Industries Department provided subsidy of Rs. 25 lakh. The Department Joint Director D. K. Lingaraju and  Deputy Director L. Meghala  demanding Rs 1.5 lakh bribe from industrialist to release subsidy amount. Unable to bear torture industrialist gave Rs. 25000 but again the two demanded Rs. 1.25 lakh. The industrialist filed a complaint with ACB officers, following which Mysuru and Mandya ACB officials caught both red-handed and arrested the duo.

A case has been registered  and investigation is on.
