Chamarajanagar: In a distressing event, a man tragically took his own life by leaping under the wheels of a moving bus near the KSRTC bus stand in Chamarajanagar. The victim, identified as Rangaswamy (34), was a resident of Yalakkur village in Chamarajanagar taluk.
The KSRTC bus, en route from Chamarajanagar bus stand to Mysuru, encountered the tragic incident as Rangaswamy, positioned on the roadside, unexpectedly leapt toward the rear wheel. Despite the driver’s efforts to halt the bus by applying brakes, the vehicle couldn’t be stopped in time, leading to the wheel running over him and causing immediate fatality.
The specific cause of his suicide remains undetermined at this time. The incident briefly unsettled the public. Chamarajanagar Traffic Police have dispatched the body for post-mortem examination and are conducting additional investigations. The event was captured on CCTV installed in front of a nearby shop.
