Gundlupet: Due to the unavailability of buses during the morning hours from the KSRTC depot in the town, students, government employees, and private sector workers are facing difficulties commuting to Mysore and Chamarajanagar.

Thousands of KSRTC city buses commute daily from Gundlupet to Mysore and Chamarajanagar. However, the lack of buses from the city to Mysore during the morning hours, from 7 to 8:30, has created a challenging situation for government and private sector employees commuting to other towns as far as distant Mysore. Many commuters are still relying on private vehicles during this time.

Students commuting to schools and colleges in Mysore and Nanjangud arrive at the KSRTC bus stand in the city at 7 AM. However, they often face delays as no buses are available even after 8 AM. During this period, buses sporadically depart, leading to passengers from two different buses having to board the same bus to reach their destination.
