Mysuru: Mysuru – Kodagu MP Pratap Simha slammed opposition parties over the recent controversies related to religions, blaming them for their divergent views over uniforms at schools and colleges that has snow-balled into the current situation.
Speaking to mediapersons here on Friday April 8, Simha wanted to know why Siddaramaiah and H. D. Kumaraswamy didn’t speak about following uniform rules at educational institutions. But now, they are talking about communal harmony.
There is no surprise over Al-Qaeda remarks praising Mandya girl Muskan who raised slogan and opposition parties stand, particularly response of Siddaramaiah.
Siddaramaiah graduated from University of Mysore and drank KRS water which were all the contributions of Mysuru Maharajas (Wodeyars). But Siddaramaiah praises Tipu Sultan and even organised Tipu Jayanti, chided Simha.
“Our Chief Minister is not ‘talking Basavanna’ but he is working Basavanna.’ That is why he has allocated Rs. 5 Crore for the cause of Shaktidhama children, and Rs. 185 Crore for the expansion of runway at Mysuru Airport and further development of KR Hospital,” claimed Simha.
