Mysuru: JD (S) MLA Sa Ra Mahesh and his supporters staged late night protest on Saturday April 30 at Lakshmipuram Police Station opposing the action of the police for filing a FIR against himself and his close associate.
As it started to rain outside, Mahesh along with MLC C. N. Manjegowda and other JD (S) workers raised slogans demanding justice.
It is said that RTI Activist Gangaraju had lodged an assault complaint against Lokesh alias Raghu, a close aide of Sa Ra Mahesh. While Lokesh is named the prime accused in FIR, Sa Ra Mahesh is the second accused in the case.
On Friday, Gangaraju and Lokesh allegedly fought near Mysuru Urban Development Authority (MUDA). Gangaraju has made allegations of land grabbing charges against Mahesh earlier, prompting the duo to exchange words.
