Mekedatu project: DKS, Siddu to tour Mysuru, CNagara to unite Cong men

Mysuru: Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) President D. K. Shivakumar and Former Chief Minister Siddaramaiah have planned a tour to Mysuru and Chamarajanagara Districts to unite party workers for Mekedatu Padayatra on January 10.

KPCC Working President R. Dhruvanarayan said, Mekedatu project is very crucial for water needs of Bengaluru and other District in the State. Demanding the quick implementation of the project, we are organising this padayatra, which will see participation of thousands of volunteers from both the Districts.

Padayatra will begin from Mekedatu and pass through Kanakapura, Ramanagara, Kengeri to reach Bengaluru.

MLA Yathindra Siddaramaiah said that the KPCC President and Opposition Leader will visit Mysuru on Monday January 3 and chair a meeting at Congress Bhavan. He also added that the party will take out a rally from Basaveshwara Circle to Congress Bhavan, which will be attended by over 5000 workers.
