Mysuru: Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) Working President and Former Chamarajanagara MP R. Dhruvanarayan slammed Mysuru – Kodagu BJP Member of Parliament Prathap Simha for making arrogant statements.
Speaking to mediapersons here on Monday June 6 he said, “There is no room for arrogance in public life. One needs common sense in politics. He said, “Simha says our leader Siddaramaiah doesn’t know anything about economics. A Finance Minister need not be qualified and all that he needs is common sense to give good governance.”
On the ensuing Rajya Sabha elections, Dhruvanarayan said, “Congress candidates are going to prevail as disgruntled MLAs from Bharatiya Janata Party and JD (S) will vote in our favour. We have supported JD (S) candidates in the past. When party Supremo H. D. Deve Gowda contested, we supported him.
The Congress Leader said, “As Congress, JD (S) is also in the Opposition. Instead of criticising the ruling party, it is busy criticising us. As a good Opposition, it is our duty to highlight the failures of the Government. JD (S) Leader H. D. Kumaraswamy is busy targeting Congress for reasons better known to him.”
