Mysuru: Banana crop has been completely destroyed in Chunchanahalli Village of Varuna in Nanjangudu Taluk due to heavy rain accompanied by storm.
The banana crop grown in an area of about 2 acres in survey number 80/3 and 80/2 of Chunchanahalli Village belonging to Mallarajanayaka of Tagaduru Village got completely destroyed due to rain.
About Rs. 3 lakh worth of banana plants have broken down due to the rain.
There is a demand that the farmer should be compensated for the loss of around Rs. 2 Lakh.
