Mysuru: ‘Bharat Jodo Yatra a heart-warming task’

Mysuru: We have worked towards connecting hearts of the two communities that were at loggerheads in Gandhi Jayanti celebrations at Badanavalu Village, said Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) presyident DK Shivakumar. This also is the objective of Bharat Jodo, he added.

Addressing a press conference here, he said that the road connecting Badanavalu Dalits and Savarniyas had been closed since the incident in 1993. We now have developed the road. He informed that the road has been named after Bharat Jodo.

Mahatma Gandhi visited the Badanwal Khadi Centre twice. Rahul Gandhi, who cut short his padayatra celebrated Gandhi Jayanti in a meaningful way, he said.
