Mysuru: The Bharat Jodo Yatra of Congress leader Rahul Gandhi will start its journey across Karnataka on September 30 from Gundlupet in the Chamarajanagara District. Opposition leader Siddaramaiah and local MLAs held a meeting with Congress workers here.
The Mysuru District Congress Committee organised the meeting, which was chaired by Siddaramaiah. MLAs Tanveer Sait, Manjunath, Dr. Yathindra Siddaramaiah, Puttaranga Shetty, Anil Chikkamadu, Narendra, MLCs Thimmayya, Madhu Madegowda, and others were present. The yatra, which will be led by Rahul Gandhi, should have at least 25,000 party workers each day, Siddaramaiah urged the leaders.
“The 3,500-kilometer yatra from Kashmir to Kanyakumari will pass through Kerala and enter Gundlupet on September 30. “Every day, it will cover 25 km and will highlight issues about farmers, youngsters and the downtrodden,” he said.
