Mysuru: Boy dies after bus runs over him

Mysuru: A teenage boy died on the spot when a bus ran over him at Nanjanagudu Bus Stand near here on Saturday October 29.

The deceased has been identified as Prajwal (14) a native of Nanjeepura Village near here. It is said that Prajwal and his father Prakash were heading towards their village after alighting a KSRTC bus. Prajwal got down from the front door of the bus and fell down. The driver of the bus moved forward without knowing the boy fall. The rear wheel of the bus ran over on the boy killing him on the spot.

The public expressed outrage against the bus driver. An ambulance was immediately called. However, the ambulance never came for more than an hour. Later, the body was sent to Nanjangudu Government Hospital for post-mortem by an autorickshaw.

A case has been registered at Nanjanagudu Traffic Police Station.
