Mysuru: Boy mauled by leopard, body found

Mysuru: The police on Sunday January 22 said that in a suspected incident of a leopard attack, an 11-year-old boy, who had gone missing from T. Narsipura Taluk here has been found dead.

The boy has been identified as Jayanth if Horalahalli Village of the Taluk. His body was found one km away from the Village. Police said a search was launched upon receiving a complaint on Saturday January 21.

Angry locals staged a protest blocking the road in T. Narsipura. They alleged that the boy was taken away by the leopard from the main road of the Village.

According to Forest Department Officials, combing operations are underway to trap the leopard.
