Mysuru: Door-to-door polling was conducted for elderly people above 80 years of age and specially-abled persons in Korehundi Village of Nanjanagudu Taluk in the District.
Nanjangudu Assembly Constituency Election Officer Krishnamurthy, Tahasildar Shivakumar and Election Officers visited houses and voted for those above 80 years of age through ballot paper.
This is the first time that door-to-door voting has been conducted in the stazte, and already more than 400 people above 80 years of age have been selected in the constituency. He informed that today in more than 16 villages in the constituency, polling is being conducted by house-to-house visits along with tight police security system.
He said that our aim is to get 100 percent voting in the constituency.
