Mysuru: Dr. Bharathi Shankar filed his nomination papers as the JD (S) candidate for Varuna Assembly constituency on Thursday April 20.
Accompanied by JD (S) party workers, he arrived at the Taluk Panchayat Office in Nanchigudu Town along with his family members. Bharathi Shankar filed nomination with returning officer Gaurav Shetty.
“I am an old politician for the constituency and the people of the constituency know about me. Voters are giving unprecedented support. Before Siddaramaiah came, I had earned the love of the people in the constituency.
“Kumaraswamy has shown humanity by deciding not to field a candidate for Nanjanagudu constituency against Darshan Dhruvanarayan. He also has given call to support darshan there. We have seen such humanitarian qualities in HDK, he noted.
“Somanna is from outside. People will decide the victory of Siddaramaiah and me. This time, the JD (S) should be given recognition instead of national parties and bring the Government to power. Support HD Kumaraswamy in the State and give me a chance this time,” he said.
