Mysuru: Agriculture officials headed by Assistant Director of Agriculture H. B. Madhulatha on Monday July 25 raided a fake fertiliser manufacturing unit at Mandakalli on outskirts of the City and seized more than 100 bags of fake fertiliser.
In an empty chicken farm, it was found that fake fertiliser was being prepared by mixing real fertiliser with clay soil. At present, the authorities have seized the manure making equipment. The accused Mahesh, who was running a fake fertiliser manufacturing unit since many months has been arrested by the police.
A case has been registered at the Mysuru Rural Police Station.
