Mysuru: Four arrested for stealing generators, borewell motors

Mysuru: City Police has arrested four persons for stealing generators, borewell motors and other items and seized Rs. 1.5 lakh from them. The accused have been sent to judicial custody.

The arrested have been identified as Mohammed Kaiser alias Kaiser, Mohammed Zubair, Mohammed Fardin and Roshan, all residents of Ontepalya Bore in the City.

A diesel generator, a cement brick-making dye, a borewell motor and a gas cylinder were seized from the accused.

Recently, a team led by Inspector Srinivas was formed under the guidance of Deputy Superintendent of Police M. K. Mahesh following reports of theft in the City limits. Acting on a tip-off about the accused, the accused were arrested and during interrogation, four cases of theft were detected and the stolen goods were seized from the accused. They have been remanded to judicial custody, Police said.
