Mysuru: Gas price hike, Congress Women’s Wing stages protest

Mysuru: In Nanjanagudu, the Women’s Wing of the Congress Party staged a protest against the hike in the price of gas cylinders.

Hundreds of women marched from the Congress Office to Hullahalli Circle, shouting slogans against the Centre and the State Government. The BJP Government is continuously increasing the price of gas cylinders day by day which has made it difficult for the general category people to take it and demanded that the price should be brought down.

A memorandum was then submitted to Tahasildar Shivamurthy.

District Mahila Rural Congress President Latha Siddashetty, General Secretary Jayamala, Nagar Mahila Congress President Sowbhagya, Former Zilla Panchayat Member Sashirekha and Pushpa Nagesh Raj, Municipal Council Member Shweta Satish and women leaders participated in the protest.
