Mysuru: State BJP Vice-President B. Y. Vijayendra on Wednesday January 18 said that it is the people of Varuna Constituency who have given him political strength, no matter which constituency he contests from.
“The aim before us is to win at least 140 seats and bring the party to power with a majority in the next elections. The Congress is day-dreaming that it has come to power. The Congress’ promise of providing 200 units of free electricity is ridiculous,” he said.
“The people of the State don’t have to give them power. Their fuses have already been removed across the country. Such statements are ridiculous when the BJP comes to power in the State once again. The old Mysuru region is our main target. We will win more seats here than Congress and JD (S),” he said.
