Mysuru: “Children have become more interested in mobile phones and reading habits are low, Sahitya Parishad should take the initiative to inculcate a love of books among children through literary activities, said Talent Education Institute Head Naveen Rai.

Speaking at the District-level Children’s Sahitya Parishad Sammelana organised by Kuvempu Children’s Sahitya Parishat at Talent Vidya Samsthe here Friday November 25, he said that considering the opinion of the writers that reading alone can develop the interest in literature among children, a children’s Sahitya Sammelana is being held every year in our school. “In the coming days, a tendency will be developed for children to bring out a book of literary activities, he said.

“Teachers should also inculcate reading habits in children. In this regard, such a tendency should be inculcated in children in all schools,” he added.
