The layouts developed around K. Hemmanahalli on Mysuru – Gaddige Road are the worst affected with water stagnating around the houses under construction and sites, raising questions about the basic infrastructural facilities, mainly storm water drains, in those layouts. Nearly 50 acres of layout is developed by a relative of a MLA which are under water now.

The Chikka Kere on Mysuru – Gaddige road is filled to the brim after a gap of 35 years, resulting in the breach and overflow of water. The villagers alleged encrochment of lake area while developing the layouts is also the reason for this pathetic situation.
