Mysuru: Police arrest PFI leaders in City, Chamarajanagara

Mysuru: The Police based on intelligence report detained three persons, including the PFI District President in Mysuru and two leaders from Chamarajanagara in wee hours of Tuesday September 27. Police are interrogating them at a secret location.

Last week, the NIA officers raided the offices and houses of the PFI organisation across the country and detained the PFI workers and leaders and interrogated them. Based on the information provided by the arrested, the NIA officials informed the State Law and Order ADGP, and based on that information, Bilal Sharif, District President of Mysuri District PFI, was detained at his Kalyanagiri residence.

Another Former Secretary of Mysuru District PFI, Zafar Sharif and active worker of PFI Firozullah Sharif were detained in the early morning from their houses and being interrogated.

In Chamarajanagara, two PFI leaders have been arrested by the Police in an early morning operation in the City. District President of PFI, Kafeel and Secretary Shoaib have been arrested. The police presented them before respective Tahasildar’s office and filed preventive action report (PAR ) against all the leaders.
