Mysuru: Congress Leader Rahul Gandhi, who is on Bharat Jodo Yatra, visited Chamundeshwari Temple at Chamundi hills on Monday October 3 with other Congress leaders and offered special pooja.
Rahul Gandhi, who went on a padayatra from Mysuru to Srirangapattana this morning, completed the morning walk at Srirangapattana and from there proceeded to Hill by vehicle. There he offered special pooja to Chamundeshwari. Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) President D. K. Shivakumar, Opposition Leader Siddaramaiah were present along with Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee Campaign Committee Chairman M. B. Patil on the occasion.
After that Rahul Gandhi visited St Philomena’s Church and Masjid-E-Azam on Ashoka Road in the City. Rahul Gandhi who resumed his fourth day of Bharat Jodo Yatra from Mysuru City at 6.20 am, offered tributes to the statue of Jayachamaraja Wadiyar at Hardinge Circle, besides visiting afore mentioned places of worship enroute.
Bishop of Mysuru K A. William, pryiest Stanley Almeida and others greeted Rahul at the Church. On Sunday October 2, Rahul visited Srikanteshwara Swamy teymple in Nanjangudu.
