Mysuru: We had estimated that Congress would win 130 to 150 seats this time. Surveys are saying the same this time, said Leader of Opposition party Siddaramaiah. He expressed confidence that the result they expected will come and that he will win in Varuna constituency.

Speaking to mediapersons here on Thursday May 11, he said that the Congress will get majority in the post-election polls. Similarly, Congress party will get majority. We will also win more seats in coastal areas. We understood the pulse of the people. The expected result will be the same. The issue of Bajrang Dal is not a controversy as we have clearly stated that in our Manifesto, he said.

Siddaramaiah told the polling booth officials that he did not want ink on his left hand due to medical reasons. He clarified that according to rule-49, the right index finger was inked. In a tweet, he said, “I have a special request to our party workers. You left home and family for the election and worked. Now take some time off and spend time with your parents, wife and children. Our honest struggle will definitely bear fruit. Once again, thank you and best wishes to all of you, he said.
