Mysuru: Savarkar was a coward and a traitor. BJP is projecting such a person as their leader, said Congress MLA from Varuna Constituency Yathindra Siddaramaiah.
Speaking at the Congress workers meeting in Nanjanagudu on Thursday August 25 he alleged that Godse who killed Mahatma Gandhi, is a leader for BJP. He further said, who are the ancestors of BJP ? “To know who their leaders are, you will know if you search the source.”
Besides, MLA Yatindra Siddaramaiah criticised Savarkar as a leader who encouraged Godse to kill Mahatma Gandhi. “Savarkar, who was sentenced to 50 years of life imprisonment for attacking the British, wrote an apology letter and came out of jail pleading with the British that he will serve them as long as they are there. Savarkar was the man who created a gap between the Hindus and Muslims of the country. He is a coward, and a traitor. He said that BJP is projecting such a person as their leader.
