Mysuru: “If you vote for Siddaramaiah in the next Assembly elections, the Taliban Government will come to power,” said Mysuru Kodagu MP Pratap Simha.

Speaking to mediapersons, he said that the Congress would make Kapali Hill into Jesus Hill. He said during erstwhile Congress Government tenure 175 criminal cases booked against 1,600 anti-social forces of PFI and KFD were withdrawn through Cabinet resolution despite opposition from Police Department. He said if one goes through the decisions taken by Congress Government, it is sure the Taliban Government would come if Congress voted to power.

He said the Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the Bengaluru – Mysuru Express Highway near Mandya on March 11 or 12. On the same day, Bhoomi pooja will also be performed for Mysuru – Kushalanagara Highway. Even though our people’s representatives are not elected in Mandya in the matter of highways, no discrimination has been done. We have developed Mandya District. Instead of naming the express highway between Bengaluru – Mysuru after a person, he requested everyone’s cooperation to name it as Cauvery Express as it is lifeline of lakhs of farmers in South India.

He said the Union Government has released Rs. 150 Crore for the expansion of Mysuru Airport in the first phase and Bhoomi pooja will be done soon. Total expansion requires 160 acres of land, of which only 47 acres are notified. He said that the highway between Mysuru and Nanjanagudu, which comes in front of the airport, will be diverted, he said.

MP Pratap Simha said that he would not come to State politics. He said he want to work in politics only till 2029, especially under Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He said Modi is like God for him and he became MP two times and would think about continuing in politics or not after 2029. He said he has done lot of developmental works in his Constituency which was not done since last 7 decades.

Reacting to Former Chief Minister B. S. Yediyurappa’s retirement from electoral politics he said although he retired from electoral politics, he remained active in politics, ending the politics of Siddaramaiah and other leaders and bringing the BJP back to power. MP Pratap Sinha said that Yediyurappa will remain in politics and would guide all of us.
