Mysuru: Two wall of houses have collapsed in Surahalli Village of Nanjangudu Taluk due to heavy rains along with storm.
The pregnant woman in the house escaped. The houses of the village belong to Raju Nayaka and Mahadevamma. Due to the torrential rain for the last two or three days, the wall of Raju Nayaka’s house collapsed and fell on Mahadevamma’s house.
The grains and electronic equipment in the house were damaged.
Karnataka State Farmers’ Association and Green Army Office-bearers have visited and inspected the place under collective leadership.
The farmers demanded that the officials of the concerned department should immediately provide suitable compensation to the families who lost their homes.
